Ripstop weist eine verstärkte Struktur auf, da es aufgrund seines maschenfärmigen Musters aus feinen und dickeren, ineinander verschlungenen Garnen reißfest ist. Wenn es einen Riss im Gewebe gibt, wird er auf den Umfang des Quadrats eingegrenzt. Da es sich um ein leichtes Material handelt, wird es häufig bei Outdoor-Aktivitäten eingesetzt, die ein solides technisches Know-how erfordern.
Veloursleder wird aus der Unterseite des Leders hergestellt, das gebürstet wird, um es weicher und flexibler zu machen. Es kommt von den Farmen des Rio Grande do Sul. Es wird in Brasilien unter Einhaltung der REACH-Normen gebräunt. Der Wasserverbrauch während des Bräunungsprozesses wird besonders berücksichtigt. Das Veloursleder wurde mit wasserabweisenden olen beschichtet, um die Schuhe vor leichtem Regen zu schützen. Es wurde von der Leather Working Group (L.W.G.) zertifiziert, die nachhaltige Umweltpraktiken von Lederherstellern färdert.
