Leder ChromeFree ist weich und leicht. Es stammt von Farmen im Süden Brasiliens (Rio Grande do Sul) und wird einem innovativen Gerbverfahren unterzogen, bei dem kein Chrom, keine Schwermetalle und keine gefährlichen Säuren verwendet werden. Die Vereinfachung des Gerbungsprozesses reduziert den Einsatz von Chemikalien, Energie und Wasser um ca. 40 % und den Salzverbrauch um 80 %. Nach der Besonnung ist das Wasser wiederverwertbar.
