Hergestellt in Brasilien
Das chromfreie Rindsleder ist glatt und leicht. Es stammt von Farmen im Süden Brasiliens (Rio Grande do Sul) und wird einem innovativen Gerbverfahren unterzogen, bei dem weder Chrom noch Schwermetalle oder gefährliche Säuren zum Einsatz kommen. Durch die Vereinfachung des Gerbprozesses wird der Einsatz von Chemikalien und Energie reduziert, der Wasserverbrauch um etwa 40 % und der Einsatz von Salz um 80 % gesenkt. Nach der Gerbung ist das Wasser wiederverwendbar. ChromeFree Leder wird für die gesamte Kinder-Kollektion aus Leder verwendet.
Das Veloursleder wird aus der Unterseite von Rindsleder hergestellt, das zuvor gebürstet wurde, um es weicher und flexibler zu machen. Er stammt aus Betrieben im Süden Brasiliens (Rio Grande do Sul). Es wird in Brasilien unter Einhaltung der REACH-Normen gegerbt. Besondere Aufmerksamkeit wird dem Wasserverbrauch während des Gerbprozesses gewidmet. Das Veloursleder ist außerdem mit wasserabweisenden olen ohne PFCs (chemische Verbindungen) beschichtet, um die Sneaker vor leichtem Regen zu schützen.
