La piel ChromeFree es suave y ligera. También procede de explotaciones del sur de Brasil (Rio Grande do Sul) y se somete a un innovador proceso de curtido en el que no se utilizan cromo, metales pesados ni ácidos peligrosos. La simplificación del proceso de curtido reduce el uso de productos químicos y energía, así como el uso de agua en un 40% aproximadamente y de sal en un 80%. Después del curtido, el agua es reciclable. La piel ChromeFree se utiliza en toda la colección de piel Kids. Fabricado en Brasil.
El ante es el reverso de una piel que se lija para darle un aspecto suave y flexible. Procede de explotaciones de Rio Grande do Sul. Se curte en Brasil según las normas REACH. El agua se utiliza con moderación durante el proceso de curtido. Esta gamuza se recubre luego con dos aceites hidrófugos para proteger las zapatillas contra la lluvia ligera. Las tenerías que trabajan con VEJA están certificadas por el Leather Working Group. Fabricado en Brasil.
