Hergestellt in Brasilien
Das chromfreie Rindsleder ist glatt und leicht. Es stammt von Farmen im Süden Brasiliens (Rio Grande do Sul) und wird einem innovativen Gerbverfahren unterzogen, bei dem weder Chrom noch Schwermetalle oder gefährliche Säuren zum Einsatz kommen. Durch die Vereinfachung des Gerbprozesses wird der Einsatz von Chemikalien und Energie reduziert, der Wasserverbrauch um etwa 40 % und der Einsatz von Salz um 80 % gesenkt. Nach der Gerbung ist das Wasser wiederverwendbar. Für die gesamte Kinderkollektion aus Leder wird ChromeFree Leder verwendet.
Nubuk wird aus genarbtem Leder hergestellt. Der obere Teil der Rinderhaut hat die dicksten Fasern, diese sind weich, widerstandsfähig und sehr hochwertig. Dieser Teil wird geschliffen oder geschabt, um ihm ein weiches und samtiges Aussehen zu verleihen. Das Nubukleder ist außerdem mit wasserabweisenden olen ohne PFCs (chemische Verbindungen) beschichtet, um die Sneaker vor leichtem Regen zu schützen. Die Rinder werden in Uruguay gezüchtet. Die Haut wird in Brasilien gegerbt und veredelt.
