Das chromfreie Rindsleder ist glatt und leicht. Es stammt von Farmen im Süden Brasiliens (Rio Grande do Sul) und wird einem innovativen Gerbverfahren unterzogen, bei dem weder Chrom noch Schwermetalle oder gefährliche Säuren zum Einsatz kommen. Durch die Vereinfachung des Gerbprozesses wird der Einsatz von Chemikalien und Energie reduziert, der Wasserverbrauch um etwa 40% und der Einsatz von Salz um 80% gesenkt. Nach der Gerbung ist das Wasser wiederverwendbar.
